Salmonid Program

We are thrilled to announce the arrival of 100 Chum eggs from the Seymour Hatchery! Ms. Harrington and Ms. Meule’s classes will be learning about the Salmon life cycle and plan a special celebration when the Chum are ready to be released into Lynn Creek.

Triple Ball

Our Volleyball season is well underway and we are pleased to announce that we have a boys Grade 6/7 team. The students are developing skills and have been successful in winning a game here and there. Our teacher sponsors are Ms. Harrington, and Mrs. Jensen.

Game Ready / Life Ready

The grade 3 class has just finished their 4-week program with Joe and Game Ready. This week our grade 7 students will begin their 3-week program. The students participate in various physical activities in order to promote healthy living and team building. An important aspect of self-regulation is body awareness – knowing how to fuel your body properly for athletic training. We are very excited to have this opportunity for our students to participate in the Game Ready program. (http://www.gamereadyfitness.ca)

February is Kindness Month

Inspired by Michele Borba’s book Building Moral Intelligence (www.micheleborba.com)

This month’s theme is KINDNESS – demonstrating concern about the welfare and feelings of others. We began the month with our Kindness Assembly and will complete many acts of kindness as a whole school. We will end the Kindness month with our PINK SHIRT DAY (Wednesday, February 22nd) (http://pinkshirtday.ca) message – “MAKE NICE”
